The holiday season is a time to enjoy some wonderful activities and events with your family, friends, and other loved ones. With such a packed schedule of festivities, the city of Corpus Christi makes this an extremely easy thing to do. Whatever your tastes or preferences, you are bound to find something enjoyable to do this winter in Corpus Christi.
Winter Craft Fair at Southside Farmers’ Market
The holiday season tends to bring out the crafty side of kids and grown-ups alike. As such, a trip to the local fair can be the perfect way to spend a Saturday morning. Featuring an abundance of wonderful handmade crafts, freshly grown produce, and musical entertainment for the whole family, the Winter Craft Fair at Southside Farmers’ Market is to be highly recommended. The event usually takes place in early December, so don’t forget to mark your calendar!
With all of the delicious food on offer during the holiday season, it can be easy to pack on a few extra pounds. For people who want to make sure that their turkey doesn’t add to their waistline, the Sunday Bridgewalk is a fantastic option. Beginning at Heritage Park, hundreds of people walk (or run) across Corpus Christi’s beautiful Harbor Bridge. Along the route, you can take in some stunning views and, if you are feeling up to it, there are Yoga and Zumba classes available at the finish line.
Town & Country Classic Christmas
For individuals or families who want to indulge in some Christmas cheer, the annual Town & Country Classic Christmas is the perfect event. In early December each year, the corner of Alameda and Everhart is turned into a winter wonderland. Featuring live entertainment, plenty of refreshments, and some excellent giveaways, there is no better way to spend a winter’s evening.

Though fishing may not be a traditional holiday activity, the waters around the Corpus Christi area offer some excellent angling opportunities during the month of December. In particular, large numbers of freshwater drum usually appear close to Indian Point Pier around this time. So what are you waiting for? Grab a rod, pack some lunch, and enjoy some of the finest fishing that Texas has to offer!
Yoga at the Texas Surf Museum
Each Sunday during the holiday season, the Texas Surf Museum hosts a free yoga class on its grounds. Whether you are an experienced yogi or a relative newbie, these events are always an enjoyable experience. After you are finished, you can always roll up your mat and explore the museum – truly one of the most unique places in all of Corpus Christi.
I doubt you will be swimming at the beach during the winter, but the city of Corpus Christi has plenty of events and interesting things to do during the holiday season. So make a reservation and spend some time enjoying the holidays in Corpus.
