There is lots to do, from hanging with the fam on the beach, at the pool, or at one of the amazing parks in the area to joining in on kid-centered planned activities. Explore, learn, and earn Girl Scout Badges at the Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve over Spring Break!  Earn a different badge each day: Brownie Hiker Badge, Junior Animal Habitats Badge, Cadette Trees Badge and Brownie Bugs Badge

March 13 – 17, 2017
Mad Scientist Spring Break Camp at the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and Industry is just around the corner! Check out the lab coats, experiments, and fun! Each day you will explore a different subject like physics, engineering, and biology through exciting activities and demonstrations. It will be an amazing week!

Birding 101 is a Family Field Investigation at the Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve. This two-hour adventure will introduce you and your kids over 5 to native birds and their habitats.

March 4, 2017
The Goodwill Run celebrates 30 years of racing with 5K/10K runs and a 2 mile walk along Corpus Christi’s scenic bay front. There are categories for adults and youth 14 and under. The Goodwill Run attracts participants from all over Texas to compete and support Goodwill.
 

March 25, 2017
The 31st Annual Cattle Baron’s Ball is a good time for a good cause! Benefitting the American Cancer Society, the party will be at the Equestrian Center at the Richard M. Bochard Regional Fairgrounds. Proceeds from this event will advance local and national cancer research. The evening will include live music, silent auction, games and delicious food catered by Don Strange of Texas.

Every weekend in March
Experience live theatre at the Aurora Arts Theatre production of Steel Magnolias. The story of friendship and trust among six very different women is “a Southern slice of life that’s as warm and comforting as sweet potato pie”.

All Month Long
More reasons to come to the beach!

Visit the USS Lexington, a World War II vintage aircraft carrier, open seven days a week, in Corpus Christi Bay. There is so much to see and do here, including a display of 20 different aircraft, a flight simulator and the 3D Mega Theater. Choose one or more of five self-guided tours (with volunteers available to answer questions), each with a different focus.

Family Art Time every Wednesday and Saturday to the Art Center of Corpus Christi is a great event to balance active beach adventures with nurturing your creative side. And it’s FREE!

Grab some local goodness each Wednesday after Family Art Time at the Art Center’s Farmers Market! Enjoy food that’s just-picked and in  season that you can prepare in your fully-equipped Gulfstream kitchen. Live music, food trucks and artists, too!

Planning Ahead
Summer is right around the corner!

Plan ahead for Summer Sea Camp at the Texas State Aquarium’s new Caribbean Journey, opening May 2017. 11 age-appropriate week-long sessions for 4-year-olds to 9th graders run from June through mid-August, so come back to Gulfstream this summer!
