Kids Nature CSI
Need to keep your 8 – 13-year-old busy for a couple of hours? They’ll learn investigative techniques in Kids Nature CSI at the South Texas Botanical Gardens. July 22, 10:00am – noon.
Youth Nature + Photography Camp
Also at South Texas Botanical Gardens, the Youth Nature + Photography Camp July 10-14 for ages 14-18 has the theme, “Wildlife in Focus”.
Kids Basic Birding Camp
For the birds! Kids Basic Birding Camp at the South Texas Botanical Gardens will introduce kids ages 8 – 13 to native bird species. July 5 – 7, 9:00am – 1:00 pm.
Nature Story Time
Younger kids (with an adult) ages 2 – 6 will enjoy Nature Story Time at the Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve on the 1st & 3rd Saturday and 2nd & 4th Thursday at 3:30pm. Free!
Young People’s Theatre Camp
Who’s ready for the spotlight? Young People’s Theatre Camp at Harbor Playhouse has four week-long sessions in July, each with a different theme. Kids ages 6 – 14 can experience Bright Lights On Broadway, Heroes and Villains, Christmas in July or Animal Kingdom. 9:00 am – 4:30 pm with before and after care available.
Who Art You?
Who Art You? is a drawing, painting and creative expression art camp that asks, “How many different ways can you draw or paint an image of yourself?” The Art Museum of South Texas has portraits from the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery on display for inspiration. July 17 – 21, 9:00am – 3:30pm with before and after care available. Ages 5 (with kindergarten completed) – 12. Kids will explore several mediums through movement and music.
