The Aurora Arts Theater in Corpus Christi is ready to satisfy musical theater fans with two productions. The Marvelous Wonderettes runs through January 15 with tunes that will keep you humming. Then, Ruthless! The Musical opens on January 27 and runs through February 18.

More than just a stock show, the Nueces County Junior Livestock Show Kick-Off Weekend January 13-15 at the Borchard Fairgrounds features a 5-K Run/Walk, a BBQ Cook-Off (yum!), a Parade, a Dog Show, a Horse Show, and (of course) a Queen’s Contest. See who earns the Blue Ribbon!

For the music lovers, The Corpus Christi Chamber Music Society’s Concert Season is underway! Three different concerts remain on January 27 & 28 and February 24 – a great way to spend an evening after a busy day at the beach!

Enjoy the colorful work of area fiber artists at the “Bloom-n Quilt Show” February 3-4 in Robstown. The judged show is produced by the Coastal Bend Quilt & Needlework Guild, and there is a beautiful donation quilt on display that will go to a new home – maybe yours!

The Coastal Bend is the only spot in the United States where the endangered whooping crane can be viewed at close range, so bring your binoculars to the Whooping Crane Festival  in Port Aransas! The February 23-26 event will host land and sea birding tours to get you closer to an awesome array of wintering migratory birds. Lots of activities and exhibits for all ages!

Do you like to party hearty? Then you won’t want to miss Barefoot Mardi Gras on February 25! The Corpus Christi event will feature a parade, festival, and king & queen’s ball – something for everyone! How wonderful to be able to settle into your peaceful Gulfstream abode after a long day of revels!
